The AirCare+ mask is easy to adjust and fits securely thanks to its ergonomic design. The filter is simple to insert and ready to use immediately.
Can I speak normally with colleagues and others while wearing the mask?
You can speak normally while wearing the mask and be clearly understood. The snug and secure fit slightly alters the acoustics, but users quickly adapt to speaking as usual.
Can I make phone calls while wearing the mask?
Yes, your conversation partner will still be able to hear you clearly.
What is the benefit of the exhalation valve?
The valve significantly reduces breathing resistance. Masks with a valve protect the wearer only—not the surrounding environment—so they’re ideal for physically demanding tasks or situations where lower breathing resistance is medically necessary. They're also well-suited for workplaces requiring uniform protective gear.
Are facial expressions visible with the transparent mask?
Yes, users report that facial expressions remain visible, which is especially beneficial when interacting with patients. Due to the transparency, moisture may become visible inside the mask and can be removed if needed. This does not impact functionality and is often perceived as a positive feature during conversations.
Cleaning, care and maintenance
The mask can be cleaned with mild soap and reused. The filter should be changed regularly but not washed.
How can I clean the mask?
Ideally with lukewarm water and regular dish soap
Is the mask dishwasher-safe?
The mask can be cleaned in the dishwasher.
Can I boil the mask in a pot?
Yes, the mask can be boiled in water.
Can the AirCare+ mask be sterilized in an autoclave?
Yes, the AirCare+ mask is made of medical-grade silicone and high-quality thermoplastics and can be sterilized to hospital standards.
Does the mask lose its color over time?
No, its special composition reduces fading during daily use.
Can I reorder filter holders, headbands, or clips?
Replacement parts can of course be ordered individually from us.
What does a lifespan of up to 20 years and an active usability of up to 10 years mean – what is meant by “active usability”?
We use medical-grade silicone that can be stored for up to 20 years and actively used for up to 10 years, including sterilization.
Comfort and Fit
Soft silicone ensures high wearing comfort even over longer periods. The fit is optimized for a wide range of face shapes.
How can I achieve the best fit for the mask?
The AirCare+ mask seals well on most people without needing to be overly tight. Once properly adjusted, the straps typically don’t need further changes.
How can I best adapt the mask to my nose shape?
The mask is designed to fit most head shapes. If it doesn’t seal perfectly right away, try different vertical positions and breathe normally to find the most secure fit.
I wear a hearing aid. Can I still use the mask?
In most cases, yes. AirCare+ intentionally uses head straps instead of ear loops.
Is AirCare+ also available for children or people with very narrow faces?
A smaller version is already in preparation.
Filter and Breathing Resistance
The FFP3-certified filter delivers top-level protection while maintaining low breathing resistance. It enables natural breathing even during intense use.
How often does the filter need to be replaced?
Assuming the mask is disinfected after one work shift, one filter per day is the minimum. In colder months, condensation from exhaled air may lead to quicker saturation. Under certain conditions, a second daily filter change may be necessary.
How many filters are in one pack and what is the price?
Packs of 10 filters are available with a recommended retail price of €8.95 (incl. VAT).
Do you also offer an FFP2 filter?
Yes, FFP2 filters are also available. The difference in breathing resistance is slightly lower.
How long do you guarantee filter availability?
We guarantee filter availability for at least 15 years.
Sometimes a layer comes off the filters. Does this affect filtration performance?
The filter is made up of three layers. The critical filtration layer is the white one in the center. The two transparent outer layers (one on each side) do not affect filtration performance. They simply prevent filters from sticking together. If one of these thin layers comes off, it is not a problem. It can be repositioned during filter replacement or discarded entirely.
How does the breathing resistance compare to a conventional single-use FFP3 mask?
According to OETI certification, inhalation resistance is 0.5 mbar, and exhalation resistance is 1.3 mbar. The FFP3 limit is a maximum of 3.0 mbar. While comparisons with every disposable mask aren't possible, all test subjects have found the AirCare+ mask very comfortable to breathe through.
Can breathing resistance seem higher than with standard masks?
Effective protection requires a tight seal to the face. Since the AirCare+ seals completely, it may feel like the resistance is higher, as, unlike disposable masks, it doesn’t allow unfiltered side airflow.

The variations result from the colors of the mask, the filter grids, and the filter versions.

Yes, we also ship to non-EU countries like Switzerland. The actual costs in each case will be shown before completing the order in the webshop.
